A Joy Ride

My treasured Dog O Mobile was deemed a total loss due to Hurricane Harvey, a little 2008 HHR panel wagon was one of my greatest loss for me personally. It was just a plain little white panel wagon that I hauled all my fur babies around in.

I have three dogs that are seniors and four that are under five years old. We have been battling to keep Wallie stressed free so we can manage his health issues hoping to be able to give him another couple of years.

The stressful difficulties and challenges due to Harvey have not only affected me but my animals as well. It's been 6 weeks and the stress and fear still linger in my household.

To be honest I wasn't sure if I would ever find the perfect dog o mobile again or that Wallie would live long enough to ride in one again or handle the stress of doing so.

When he gets excited, stress or barks, life comes to a standstill. He goes into spasms not being able to breathe sometimes losing consciousness or having a seizure. So I guess in a way it's good I didn't have a dog o mobile.

We finally found the perfect vehicle and I call it the Bow Wow Wagon or Barker Mobile. I call Wallie Mr. Barker.

The first attempt resulted in me realizing he would never be able to ride in a vehicle again for pleasure.

Since purchasing the Bow Wow Wagon on September 24, I have attempted to take the fur babies for a ride and every time has resulted in the same tragic ending.

I decided to let the Bow Wow Wagon run with the back doors open ready to load.
I let the dogs up in the front yard without ever saying a word.
One by one they loaded.
Finally, Wallie loaded also.

So I closed the doors and backed out of the yard.

We managed to go around the block four times.
When we arrived home, he unloaded without incident.
Went into the house and went to sleep.

Good job  Mr. Wallie, Ms.  Kittie, Ms. Daisie,  Ms. Poopsie, Ms. Peebles, and Ms. Piggie for being on such good behavior and for not barking or getting excited. By all of you staying calm and peaceful Wallie was able to enjoy his first ride in over a month.

I was so overcome with joy knowing that he was able to experience a Joy Ride in the Bow Wow Wagon.

I hope that we are able to manage a lot more, but if not I am grateful for being blessed with this one.

Today I am grateful for this joy ride.
