As much as Hurricane Harvey destroyed and took away from me, he did give me something very special.
We had a dog at the shop that was a rescue, we have had him about a year.
Due to the shop having almost four feet of water inside, it was impossible for him to stay.

So we brought him to where we evacuated to, along with our six other rescues.
Yes, you read that correctly!
Seven beautiful special "little" rescue dogs now all under my care. Lord Help Me!
We are working on acclimating him with them and after a few days, things have seemed to work out just fine. One can hope!
We still have things that need to be addressed and habits that need to be learned and respected.
But....
We are off to a good start!
The newest addition is Peter, an American Bulldog, seen above relaxing. Ms. Piggie is snuggled up to him with her head on his back.
Awww to have the dog's life we should all be so blessed. Today is also the five year anniversary of Mike's passing. I can not believe it has been that long.
