Battle Scars

I came across this quote again today and just had to share it.

I am trying my best to not leave marks behind that will be scars of pain but scars of kindness and love. A lot of people do not know this but The Scar Project is one of the ideas that helped me create Faces of Ankylosing Spondylitis. They were able to create beauty out of the scars left behind from battling breast cancer.

Today I am grateful that most have no idea the scars of pain I carry because it is hidden behind the smile I shine to the world.
