Little Joys Of Life

The little joys are the greatest gift in life.

Today I was able to take all six of my fur babies on a LONG ride in the new Bow Wow Wagon.

We have only managed one or two times around the block since Hurricane Harvey.

Wallie is getting sicker and his journey called life is coming to an end. His health has deteriorated immensely since Hurricane Harvey.

The simplest things can set him off into a struggle of being able to catch a breath to the point of suffocating but so far we have managed to keep that at bay.

I am in a terrible dilemma riding in the car can set these episodes off, so how will I transport him to the vet when needed?

He is the sweetest dog and has been such a joy and honor to experience life with him.

Slowly we have been able to coach him into staying calm and not get so excited to go riding.

We no longer sing the Dog O Mobile song, or say who wants to go bye bye... it sets him off and he ends up having seizures.

So I open the back door after getting the bow wow wagon ready and I wait patiently for them to "notice" and load up.

Sometimes it's within minutes sometimes it hours before anyone realizes.... but slowly he is learning if he doesn't bark or gets excited he doesn't go into these episodes.

We rode around for almost two hours, nothing but silence, panting, and tails wagging.
It was amazing, it was life before Hurricane Harvey...

Today I am so grateful beyond words to know that today was a beautiful and normal day for myself and my fur babies, especially Mr. Wallie!
