Today was insane! I took all six dogs to the Vet today. They are always impressed with the fact that an old disabled woman can handle six dogs at the Vet, but my dogs are very well behaved and make it easy to do so.
So here is the vet status: Piggie is good and healthy, Daisie is good and healthy, Poopsie is better and doing good.
Pebbles is doing a lot better still a battle we are unsure for the next few months but hey good news is good news; she sees the specialist tomorrow.
Kittie is going blind, and her health continues to fail. I am unsure how much longer we will have her; we have decided to not remove the tumor in her neck due to old age and her health. It is a slow growing tumor and presents no issues currently, so it is a wait and see for now.
Wallie my time is limited with my boy....he has failing health issues these past few months, and has always been unhealthy and now we are to a point of only making him comfortable and happy, we almost lost him today when we were at the Vet he became so upset he went into respiratory distress and seizures, losing consciousnesses but with the wonderful care and oxygen and sweet voices of encouragement he is home sound asleep and happy.
Not sure how much longer he has, Vet said days, months if miracles still occur a year, but I have always believed in quality over quantity. So, we prepare and love him to pieces while we have the chance.
It is unsettling to think my household could go from 6 fur babies to 5, 4, 3, 2 or 1 within such a short period of time in the future, all we can do is our best and take it one day at a time.
Life no matter how long you live is short, LIVE IT!
Today I am grateful for the fast-acting vets and assistants who were able to care for Wallie as quickly as they did and saved his life. I am more grateful to have a Vet that for a quick moment I could see the love and fear in his eyes for my precious boy before getting down to business. He is such a wonderful young man with a huge heart.
