Back Home

Today we went to pick up Hunter from Austin. I have missed that kid so much but it is what is best for him.

Oh my gosh I met the sweetest young man at Cris Cole center and when I said I was Hunter's nanny he said Oh I thought for sure you were his mother, looked at Christy and said I thought for sure you were his sister.

Smooth little talker that one is, made my day (even if he is blind and can't really tell how cute I am 😉 )

I am so thankful Hunter is surrounded by such cool people; he is happier than I have ever seen him.... watching that boy fight so hard from the second he was born and hopefully finding him in a place in his life, he feels it is worth it. Brings my soul such peace.

He seems so different on the way home, like he just grew up overnight. He shared all the exciting things he did with us. The trip home was filled with laughter and peace.

Today I am so grateful that this young boy had the will to fight to live all these years, life would be so dark without him. But more than anything I am grateful to have gotten home safely.
