Happy Birthday Carol

This evening I watched the Celebration of Carol Burnett’s ninetieth birthday. It was such a beautiful tribute to such an amazing person. I loved watching her as a young girl and still do. I would imagine she was singing her sing I am so glad we got this time together and tug on her earlobe was just for me. I still do. 

I have heard the story she shares about the couple who gave her the money so she could go to New York to pursue acting but I can not help but think about how much joy and laughter we would have missed if not for the kindness of strangers.

Today I am grateful for the acts of kindness from strangers that gave us such an amazing gift of laughter and so much more.
