It's The Sweet Simple Things In Life

My daughter called me around 9:15 pm and when I answered the phone she says check your text and call me back! She sounded so excited! This is what I found when I checked the text! 

So when I called her back she was like we got ice cream from the ice cream truck in our neighborhood! I was instantly transported back in time when I was a little girl and couldn't wait to hear the ring, ring, ring of the ice cream truck bell! I was stunned to find out that they still have ice cream trucks going around in the neighborhoods! They were all excited, my grandchildren and daughter! (Who are all adults!)

 I heard about all the flavors and sundaes. It is amazing how much joy and excitement can be found in one colorful cup of ice cream with whipped cream and bright colored sprinkles.

As soon as I finished talking to her I went to look in my freezer and there it was a container of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla ice cream. So, I got a spoon thinking maybe next time when I visit, I will be lucky enough to hear the bell too!

Today I am grateful for the ringing of the bell.
