Welcome to your daily delight.
When my Mom began hospice care I realized somewhat quickly that what she wanted was to focus on the beauty of life, the force of the love that surrounded her, and thoughts and images that delighted her.
I set upon a mission of finding ways to delight her, to watch her face light up. It could be a cream puff I picked up at the European Bakery, a new painting I hung on the wall, flowers arranged into small vases placed upon her windowsill or wearing something beautiful for my visits.
I told her I would be her sunflower every day.
If you see me sign messages with yellow hearts and sunflowers - that is a little way I honor my mom and our beautiful weeks together finding happiness in such sadness.
Delight is what takes us away from the difficulties of life so today I start my one minute video series focusing on love, joy, color, and sunshine. Just one minute of escape - I hope it helps you in some small way like it did for my mom and me.
