When I got home last night it was very late, so I decided to surprise my doggies!
I sat on the swing in the front yard as quiet as a mouse, curious who would notice me first.
Ms. Kittie, of course, that girl has a nose that won't quit! The old man Mr. Wallie found me next and was like oh that's where you have been all week. Ms. Poopsie was next and boy was she happy to see her momma. Ms. Pebbles and Ms. Piggie was like where you been momma? But my little quiet, withdrawn shy little Ms. Daisie, showed me just how much she had missed her momma! That 80-pound baby came running across the yard full speed ahead! Next thing I knew she was on my lap, kissing, nipping and licking my face and making the most pitiful little whimpers you have ever heard. She continued on for about 30 minutes it broke my heart when I realized she thought I was gone forever.
Then Ms. Pebbles and Ms. Kittie began the investigation of sniffing me, hmmm what is this and that smell. I am sure they smelled Mr. Teddy who had been on my lap almost the whole trip. Didn't take long for the attitude of gratitude to change the attitude of what the hell! I guess they realized I hadn't been in the hospital or dead in the ditch somewhere BUT ON A WONDERFUL TRIP!
Thank god it was bedtime!
Well, let me tell you there is NOTHING wrong with their memory and the attitude these babies showed me today would have made the members of the Communication Workers of America Union proud!
There were on strike and Momma was going to pay, I could hear them all saying form a line!
What to do, I know bribe them with treats and rides in the bow wow wagon and kisses, lots of kisses!
It worked like a charm.
Today I am most grateful for the unconditional love of six special fur babies that life brought into my life. There is no other love purer of the love from your dog.
