They say the truth shall set you free.....
I wonder who came up with that, and is really being brutally honest always the best choice?
I do my best to spare people's feelings in every way possible.
But sometimes you just have to speak your truth.
Today was that day, afterward, I had remorse and regret, so was I really set free?
And if so, to what cost to the person I said it to.
Did it honestly matter in the long run?
For me it did, but I assure you it didn't come without cost to me nor did it set me free.
Today I am grateful that after five years, I could finally speak my truth....
