Today I had the pleasure of speaking with Richard and Elin about an upcoming event.
( I will share with you all at a later date! It's amazing!)
The conversation was emotional and heartwarming especially for me.
I can't tell you how many times over the years that these two people have given me the gift of believing in myself. The trust and honor they have placed in me by believing I wouldn't fail has been remarkable and life changing for me.
It was that belief in me that gave me the courage to believe in myself when I couldn't.
Isn't life ironic that a disease that made me feel so worthless brought people into my life that ended up giving me opportunities to be the best me possible and in the end taught me my true self-worth.
The Spondylitis Association of America and the AS community believed in me, which gave me the gift of being able to believe in myself and I will forever grateful for them.
Today I am grateful for the people that AS has brought into my life.
