Home Sweet Home

Today has been one of the hardest days of my life.. and I am safe....

So much devastation in Texas, it's impossible to absorb it all.

So much kindness being shown in Texas, it's impossible to absorb it all.

People I love, whom I have never met... offering me love, comfort, and support... (My AS Family)

The water reached 4-foot levels in my garage and some areas of the property were 6 foot deep.

Maggie and her family were evacuated out of my home early this morning or late last night...

They are safe...

It would be later today that I found out we both had homes to go home too...

What condition would they be in, we had to wait for at least 2 to 3 feet to go down....

Then we would know...

At 6:45 p.m.  I was in my home... there was still 2 feet of water in my garage... but I was home.

I took a bath, put my own pajamas on!

I ate a slice of pizza, real pizza, a slice of heaven from Pizza Hut!

It's 11:00 p.m. and I am sitting at my own computer in my home, writing this post...

My family is safe, my loved ones are safe, my dogs are safe and my new family (neighbors) are safe.

To be honest... I am not sure which was more overwhelming the devastation I experienced or the love that was being shown to me during this time.

There is no greater blessing to be grateful for...

And today I am grateful beyond words.
