One hundred and twenty three days straight, Peter has fought cancer and MRSA. I have second guessed myself every step of the way during this difficult time.
But we are here and I was given the news I have worked so hard to hear.
Peter is now cancer and MRSA free. For now it is over. This poor baby has survived being abused, locked in a kennel, heartworm treatment twice, Hurricane Harvey being trapped in an office with three feet of flood water, four knee surgeries and years of difficult medical treatment and medicines that are horrible to his body as it heals.
But we did it. I am hoping that now he can just live a normal dog life. One filled with sleeping comfortably, eating without having tummy issues, be able to play and not be in pain.
Today I am so grateful to have been given the title of being his caregiver, he has taught me so much.
