Hunter and I had a serious discussion today about how people are so judgmental
and how superficial we have become as a society. If you are not perfect and
pleasing to the eye, you are seen less as.
Hunter said it’s a shame that everyone will not wake up blind like me
tomorrow and I said why is that, he said because then you have to judge people
on their moral compass, their actions and the way they treat you and others
because you have no other way to “judge” them, because you have NOTHING to
distract you from the “truth” because you see who they really are not who you
think they are or what you think you "see" ( I stand corrected )
I sat there in awe of the wisdom he possesses for a young man. Later, that
day I sat quietly outside on my porch replaying that conversation over and
over.
I thought how amazing it would be, that we see people for who they really
are, and not the fake lips, big muscles, gorgeous eyes, and great skin. How
kind and loving the world would be.
Today I am grateful for this beautiful human being who honestly sees people
the way it should be even though he is blind. What beautiful insight he has and
what a beautiful lesson he taught this old woman today. Tomorrow I will look at the world through his eyes, I can not wait to see how beautiful the world can be.
